Tricentennial Park
Restoration & Adaptive Rehabilitation
SCP Officers were involved with building, stabilization, interior build-out and infrastructure projects in and adjacent to the historic Roundhouse Complex (now known as Tricentennial Park) over the last decade under the auspices of the Coastal Heritage Society. The restoration of the Savannah History Museum and Savannah Visitor’s Center building and the Battlefield Park Memorial and Redoubt were all part of this effort. The $22 million Tricentennial Park now provides key cultural attractions for adults and children on the western edge of Savannah's historic downtown.
Most of this work was sensitive, high-level historic preservation construction that included brick and stone restoration, masonry reconstruction, preservation carpentry and many other restoration and conservation skills.
